1 John Sermon Series
The Epistle of 1 John is God's Word to us. It is a study of how we can be sure that we have genuine fellowship with God. In todays world as well as during the Apostle John's time, many groups were formed and were identified amongst the Church of Christ as Christians but were in fact a false group who deny the deity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
John's letter is to defend the unique truth of God revealed to us and to those who received the Gospel - God who became flesh in the person of Jesus Christ. Being the last surviving Apostle, it is his testimony that we can be sure that what he writes through the inspiration of God the Holy Spirit is trustworthy and true. Why? As an Apostle of Jesus Christ, he witnessed the amazing miracle of God through the miraculous and wonders that Jesus Christ did, taught and revealed.
